Nursing staff throughout the country are celebrating nurses day on Friday 12th May which is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. Although we highlight the work we do throughout the year, this day gives us a platform to shout about our good work.

Spaces are available for the BIRT Conference 2017 for abstracts and poster presentations for any research or clinical developments in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of people with ABI.
BIRT Centre York House in York has been judged to be ‘Good’ in its recent CQC report. The York House team were particularly pleased that the service was reported to demonstrate a very person-centred culture.
Since moving to BIRT’s Tŷ Aberdafen in 2015, service user Rachel has gradually gained more confidence and has now started attending a jewellery workshop.
Our person centred approach is key to supporting the diversity of people admitted to our services, with a notable increase in the number of those identifying as homosexual, bisexual, gender fluid or transgender.
