The Motor Accident Solicitors Society(MASS) has been continuing their partnership with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) as their official charity.

MASS have so far donated £10,000 to BIRT, raised from their Gala dinner, which has been spent to benefit service users and their families.

Michael Boardman, Service User and Family Liaison Officer at BIRT centre Redford Court said: “The money will be used to open a relaxation room in the grounds of Redford Court. The service users can go to the room when they are feeling agitated as sometimes living in a big service can be very loud.”

Every year since it’s inception in 1991, MASS has raised money for and supported various road safety and victim support charities. Members raise funds through donations and at the MASS annual conferences, which are then used to assist the charity concerned to fulfil their commitment to a particular project.

MASS’ involvement with charities that are linked to victims of road traffic accidents is well documented and chose BIRT as the sponsored charity for the last 18 months. BIRT had also been the chosen charity for MASS in 2008 / 2009.
