Situated close to the city of Leeds, Daniel Yorath House is a specialist neurobehavioural rehabilitation centre for people with acquired brain injury. Opened in 1992, it was one of the first assessment and rehabilitation centres for brain injury in the UK. It forms part of the nationwide network of rehabilitation support services provided by The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT).

In the run up to Brain Injury Awareness Week 2013 (13th -19th May), The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) has invited all those currently undergoing rehabilitation across its services in the UK to showcase their skills and talent - by joining in ‘The Grand BIRT Bake Off’!

On Friday 10 May BIRT is presenting free educational seminars in Leeds and Birmingham for professionals with an interest in brain injury

On the 10 August, a team of 12 will be taking on a gruelling 45 mile circular cycle ride from Daniel Yorath House to York House, and back again, to raise money and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the service.
