The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) service, Graham Anderson House, located in Glasgow, held their annual family fun day on Saturday 20th August which proved to be a huge success.

The families of service user’s travelled from across Scotland to visit them and to support the event. A special thank you was made to Robert Wilson, a local boxing coach who has been working on physiotherapy with a few of the service users at the centre. To show their appreciation for Robert, some of the service users presented him with a bottle of whiskey and a special certificate.

The attractions comprised of a wide variety of stalls and events which included: a bake sale, tombola, magic show, beat the goalie game, a live DJ, BBQ, face painting, raffles, a book stall and afternoon tea. Overall the event managed raised well over £900 to go towards additional equipment for the centre.

Sandra Wylie, Service Manager of Graham Anderson House, said: “We had a really fantastic day and we are so thankful to everyone who joined in and to all those that came along to support us.”
