Claire Locke, Assistant Manager at Kent House, the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust's (BIRT) specialist continuing rehabilitation centre in Aylesbury for people with brain injury, has been presented with a Highly Commended Award by the Buckinghamshire County Council Quality in Care Team for the person-centred care plans she produced for Kent House service users. This was presented at the Buckinghamshire Dignity Awards Conference in Aylesbury on the 17th April - an incredibly inspiring occasion.

Jo Smith, the centre’s Manager said “We are delighted that Claire has been recognised for her work supporting our service users. We pride ourselves on treating all our service users as individuals and Claire has been instrumental in ensuring we treat the people we support with dignity and respect. We are so pleased to have this recognised."

It’s been a great week for Jo and her team who have also had a visit from their local Environmental Health inspectors – and been awarded a five star rating.
