Thomas Edward Mitton House, has officially unveiled their new courtyard garden, holding a special garden party in celebration of both the centre’s and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust's (BIRT) 25th anniversary.
Staff and service users from the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) centre, Thomas Edward Mitton House, had a great day celebrating the 25 years of the service by cycling 25 virtual miles on an exercise bike and eating a continental lunch.
The Disabilities Trust CEO, Irene Sobowale, visited Thomas Edward Mitton House in Milton Keynes during Action for Brain Injury Awareness Week. It was a busy week of activities from camping to gardening with a bit of smoothie making thrown in.
On 23 September, Thomas Edward Mitton House were awarded The Overall Team Award at The Disabilities Trust's prestigious annual Staff Awards. Members of the TEAM Team attended the awards ceremony in London.
'Made in Brunel' was a showcase of creativity from Brunel University's undergraduate designers, engineers and innovators. Amongst the exhibits featured was 'Empower Shower' a project originally conceived by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT).
Thomas Edward Mitton House's maintenance team member Steve Lawson has recently ridden the Cambridge 100 mile challenge on 3rd May 2015 in aid of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) service. Steve finished an amazing 39th!
