Disabilities Trust CEO, Irene Sobowale, visited Thomas Edward Mitton House in Milton Keynes during Action for Brain Injury Awareness Week. It was a busy week of activities from camping to smoothie-making.
On 23 September, Thomas Edward Mitton House were awarded The Overall Team Award at The Disabilities Trust's prestigious annual Staff Awards. Members of the TEAM Team attended the awards ceremony in London.
'Made in Brunel', a showcase of creativity from Brunel University's undergraduate designers, engineers and innovators was held at the OXO Tower's Barge House on the 13th of June. Amongst the exhibits featured was 'Empower Shower' a project originally conceived by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) was brought to life by Brunel University Student, Rebecca Hodge.
Iain Stewart MP, visited the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust’s (BIRT) Thomas Edward Mitton (TEM) house in his constituency of Milton Keynes South last month. Mr Stewart was shown around the centre by Tom, a former resident of TEM who has since moved into one of BIRT’s transitional living flats.
