Thomas Edward Mitton House's maintenance team member Steve Lawson has recently undertaken the Cambridge 100 mile challenge on 3rd May 2015 in aid of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust service.

Starting and finishing on the outskirts of Cambridge, the route meanders through north Cambridgeshire towards the Norfolk coast on this challenging 100 mile ride. This years event was particularly challenging due to torrential rain for the first half, and a strong headwind which made the return leg a challenge.

“It was hard going in the rain, and a struggle against the wind, but I met and rode with some great guys and we all helped each other” said Steve Lawson.

Steve finished an amazing 39th, in a time of only 6hrs 18min and an average speed of 15.8mph and has currently raised £180.

Other members of staff from the unit are doing a series of three challenges this year to raise extra funds for the service. The first was the cycling challenge, the second is an ascent of Ben Nevis and finally the Hull 10km run.
