The Disabilities Trust NVQ Centre

The Disabilities Trust NVQ Centre was set up in 2005 to deliver Health and Social Care level 2 & 3 NVQs to staff across the Trust using in house assessors.

At that time, the Centre Manager was the only qualified Internal Verifier, with three assessors working toward their V1 award.

It rapidly expanded to include HSC level 4 and the Registered Managers Award and also began training staff within the services to achieve their A1 award.

It now has three qualified Internal Verifiers, one covers the east of the country, another covers the west of the country and the third covers one service in the north-west of England with the Centre Manager covering the remainder of the country.

It is also now approved to deliver Leadership & Management for Care Services level 4, Team Leading, Business & Administration awards and the LDQ using Edexcel, EDI and OCN awarding bodies.

The Centre also offers all awards electronically using the eNVQ system.

We also work in partnership with Elizabeth FitzRoy Support, delivering HSC & A1 NVQs to their staff in those areas where we have the capacity to do so.

The Centre aims to put in submissions to additionally deliver Customer Service and Management level 3 in the New Year together with any other award that the Trust requests.
