Gareth Reardon – Daniel Yorath House
Gareth was photographed at 'Strikes' garden centre in Garforth
where he has a voluntary job. The experience has been very rewarding for him
and signifies his rehabilitation and his reintegration into the community.
Gareth’s brain injury affects his ability to plan and organise
independently and his lack of insight into some of his difficulties makes him
socially vulnerable, but through the rehabilitation programme at Daniel Yorath
House and his own determination, Gareth has established a daily routine that
enables him to succeed at living in a supported house environment.
Gareth is due to move to a supported community living house soon
within his local community where he can continue his voluntary job at the garden
centre.
