Supporters of Autism Spectrum Partners Sussex community houses have been getting active and have raised £800 by taking part in a Clubbercise event in Burgess Hill.

Over 25 fundraisers donned their rave outfits and ‘Clubbercised’ to club anthems, from 1990s classics to the latest chart hits, in a darkened room with disco lights at Burgess Hill’s Market Place shopping centre.

Rachel Priestley, Service Manager at Sussex Community Houses, said “Last night was a great success. We had a great turn out and a huge thanks to Jo Chopping, Helen Bentley and Karen Perrin for all their support, as well as all of the people who took part.”

The money will be divided between the three Sussex houses and each will spend the money differently. Beech Hill are buying woodwork tools and materials for the woodwork shed so they can do further projects. The Willows are redeveloping their quiet lounge and purchasing some sensory equipment and Rosewood are looking into a new garden project.
