Huge congratulations to Angela Ord who has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust's (BIRT) Daniel Yorath House in Leeds.
Angela, raised over £5,000 after costs. She was supported by a great number of people including Andy Schofield and Steve Walton who took part in the Sheffield half marathon to add to the funds.
On talking about her achievement Angela said "The experience can only be described as life changing, however, by far the hardest physical and emotional challenge of my life."
Donna O'Reilly, Assistant Manager at Daniel Yorath House, expressed her thanks: "This is an enormous sum of money which we are planning to use for music therapy sessions for the people we support.
"These sessions, which are held in conjunction with Nordoff Robins, have made a huge difference and we want to be able to continue to offer them but can only do so with fantastic donations like Angela’s. We are most grateful for this amazing achievement for our service 'Thanks' doesn’t seem enough!"
