The Victoria House charity bag pack at St Stephens Tesco, Hull raised a fantastic £834.41 for the #ConnectAbility Appeal. Service users and staff were joined by Danny Scott from the Hull FC Foundation alongside three Hull Apprentices and packed bags from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 21st March.

Victoria House supports disabled people and is part of national charity The Disabilities Trust. The money raised will support the #ConnectAbility Appeal – a £250,000 three year appeal to raise money for essential assistive communications technology for The Disabilities Trust’s service users.

The assistive communications technology will allow people with complex and high dependency disabilities to independently communicate with their families and friends.

Victoria House, Activities Co-ordinator, Angela Hardie, said “We all had a great day and were delighted with the generosity of Tesco staff and shoppers.”

Alongside the bag pack, Victoria House are prevalent in the Hull Community and have recently been selected as chosen charity for Hull FC’s Spirit of Hull.
