Service users and staff at Victoria House in Hull are delighted to receive a £2500 donation from the Drypool Community Grant.
The Drypool Community Grant is an initiative that provides local communities with the means to address their own priorities. The community initiative is a match funded programme - every one pound raised must be matched by a similar amount in donations.
Chairman of Community First, Brian Johnson, attended Victoria House to present service users with a cheque on Monday 9th March.
Victoria House service users have already benefited from communications technology, using iPads and eye trackers to communicate with their friends and family and were delighted to welcome Brian.
The presentation of the cheque was followed by a tea and a chance for service users and staff to say their thanks to Brian and the Drypool Community Grant.
Activities co-ordinator, Angela Hardie, says, “We are absolutely thrilled to have received this fantastic donation which will contribute to assistive communications technology for our service users. The Drypool Grant has had a profound effect on our fundraising efforts and we are so grateful for their generosity.”
