Anthony moved to Victoria House in 2003. He had previously been living in a residential home for the elderly, which was not suitable for his age or needs.
Victoria House offered Anthony more independence and freedom. He enjoys his own company and has a computer in his room which he often uses.
Whilst living at Victoria House, Anthony has gained a City & Guilds qualification in Horticulture. He also attended Hull College to complete a cookery course.
Next year he hopes to be able to work towards a higher qualification for cooking. Anthony enjoys the practical elements of cooking and often brings his culinary creations back to Victoria House.
"I like living at Victoria House. I'm able to do what I want: go to the gym, watch films at the cinema and support the local rugby team. I have much more freedom and choice which is helping me with my independence"
