Running Events

BM2_2Running is a great way of keeping fit and plays a vital role in our fundraising calendar

Every year we have a limited number of guaranteed spaces for people who would like to take part in a marathon or 10k including the Virgin London Marathon, the Brighton Marathon and the London BUPA 10k. Places are allocated to runners on the basis that they will raise an agreed amount of money for The Disabilities Trust.

Even if you have already secured your own space in any UK running event, you can still join us!

The most exciting new running event to hit the UK in 2013 arrives in the White Rose County in October. The highly-anticipated Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon takes runners through the beautiful medieval City of York and its picture perfect countryside in the county's biggest marathon.

London to Brighton 100km - 25-26 May 2013

Most will walk the 100km, some will jog parts, and others will take it on as an Ultra-Marathon. However you decide to tackle the London 2 Brighton Challenge it will be a definitive, but achievable, test of endurance and determination!

London Bupa 10k – 27 May 2013

The Bupa London 10,000 is a 10k race taking place each May, starting and finishing in St. James’s Park. Runners pass many of London’s famous sights, including Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, The London Eye, Cleopatra’s Needle, Tate Gallery, Millennium Bridge, The Monument, Lloyds of London, Leadenhall Market, Bank of England, Mansion House, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Horseguards, Nelson's Column and Admiralty Arch.
