Hollyrood and our community houses in Sussex celebrated World Autism Awareness Week with a fun day for service users and their families on Saturday 6th April..

Guests enjoyed a variety of activities including face painting, an inflatable penalty shoot-out and music-making while staff served food and mixed up an array of ‘mocktails’. Senior Management staff from The Disabilities Trust also attended including Bill Chidgey, Director of Finance, who said “it was a wonderful event and really celebrated autism awareness. I was delighted to be able to join the people the Trust supports and so many of their family members having fun. I am also very proud of our dedicated staff who went above and beyond to make the day a success.”

Rachel Priestley, Service Manager, said “Saturday was a fantastic day and we all enjoyed the activities. It was lovely for the families to get together and everyone really appreciated the support of senior staff from the Trust too.”
