Who is it for?
The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT)'s transitional living options are usually for service users who have an acquired brain injury (ABI) and have undergone some rehabilitation. Our transitional living facilities offer the opportunity to maximise independent living and social skills prior to moving back home or returning to an environment with less support. This is in addition to our general admission criteria
What do we offer?
We deliver services in houses and bungalows located close to our main centres and hospitals as part of active rehabilitation, using the neurobehavioural approach. Service users are able to receive continued support from the clinical team, who are familiar with their needs.

My key-worker is the very best and has helped me considerably.
Accommodation comprises individual apartments or houses for one, two or three people. Supervision is available 24 hours a day with a range of support services depending upon individual needs.
