This year our mascot, Birt, has been visiting our brain injury services across the UK, joining in on various activities.

Birt was created as part of our Show Your Brain Some Love awareness campaign which provides six top tips to help you keep your brain healthy.

The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust's Show Your Brain Some Love campaign is an ongoing awareness project.

York House

Birt joined staff and service users from BIRT centre York House on a walking challenge around the medieval bar walls in the city of York.

As part of the celebrations of 25 years of BIRT, the challenge of walking 25 miles to represent 25 years was undertaken by the group.

Staff and service and users from BIRT centre The Woodmill in Devon, have also been on a walking trip to celebrate 25 years of BIRT. They were joined on the trip by a four legged friend, Ruskie the support dog from Pets as Therapy and Birt, the Trust’s brain in jury mascot.

Thomas Edward Mitton (TEM) House

Birt joined staff and service users from TEM House in Milton Keynes who were having a great day celebrating the 25 years of the service by cycling 25 virtual miles on an exercise bike and eating French food, to coincide with the Tour de France.
