The Huw Thatcher Trust has released its 2013 / 2014 Annual Report which includes information on its fundraising achievements. The report details a number of events that took place in 2014, including the 19forHuw cycling challenge a gruelling 960 mile bike ride in 9 days. This impressive event raised close to an outstanding £5,000 for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) services.
Since the Trust was founded in 2011, it has donated a staggering £100,000 to BIRT. This money has been used to benefit BIRT services by purchasing new IT and physio equipment designed to enhance service user’s rehabilitation.
Huw’s father, Nick Thatcher says:
“The Huw Thatcher Trust saw the same camaraderie, care and effort in 2014 as it did back in 2011, and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped with the £9,000 we raised in 2014 and the £100,000 we have raised in total. Every pound helps a person with a brain injury, and respects an awesome young guy who was adored by us.”
