The Paddock has been judged to be ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in all categories assessed.
The inspectors found that people felt safe and well cared for with one saying "It is a very nice place to live. They really are good here." Independence is encouraged with service users being treated with kindness, supported to make choices and take positive risks while remaining safe. Their views are actively sought, and privacy and dignity respected.
Staff were considered to have the right skills with good training. A member of staff who was spoken to was enthusiastic about it saying: "I think the training is very good, it covers all aspects of our work." Access to a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapy and psychology was noted as ensuring that people's holistic needs were considered and met. There was effective leadership and good team working.
Registered Manager, Scott Ratcliff was pleased with the result. “We all work hard here to make sure that everybody we support is happy and can live as independently as they wish. To know that CQC recognise this is very encouraging.”
