Designed specifically for occupational therapists working in the field of brain injury, theBrain Injury Rehabilitation Trust's one day workshop "Effective use of functional skills training programmes for service users with acquired brain injury" is being held at Graham Anderson House on Thursday 17 November.

The workshop will focus on the neurobehavioural approach for working with adults with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and key learning points will include:

  • Looking at the evidence base for skills training in brain injury
  • How to design, carry out and evaluate a neurobehavioural skills training programme
  • Managing and training support workers to facilitate functional gains in people with severe brain injury
  • Increasing independence and promoting quality of life for people with severe brain injury who are in supported living settings in the community

A copy of the Manual ‘Effective Use of Functional Skills Training Programme for Service Users with Acquired Brain Injury’ will be given to all participants.

The workshop will be held on Thursday 17 November at Graham Anderson House, Glasgow G21 1UU, 9.30am - 3pm
