On January 30th, there was a VIP visit at one of our services. The Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, Mr Mark Bludell, visited the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust's (BIRT) centre, Redford Court, in Liverpool. The Lord-Lieutenant had a tour of the service and had the opportunity to meet the service users, as well as members of staff who support them. At the end of the visit he said: "A lovely visit to a great unit."

Michael Boardman, Service User and Family Liaison Officer at Redford Court, said “It was a great honour for us to be able to welcome The Lord-Lieutenant. He was incredibly interested in our work and chatted away with staff and residents. We are very proud of Redford Court and the rehabilitation support we provide for people with acquired brain injury. The presence of Mr Bludell will further emphasise the importance of such services.”
