On 1st September, service users from the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) service in Liverpool, Redford Court, supported the community by donating food and toiletries to the homeless.

Service users, Andrew, Daniel and Niall, supported by staff members Michael, Laure and Mick, and Laure’s daughter Sofia, helped over 40 people on the streets of Liverpool with the generous donations.

Andrew said: “The experience made me feel so lucky and humble.” Andrew is keen to continue supporting people in this way, even when he moves on from Redford Court.

Service User and Family Liaison, Michael Boardman wanted to tell those involved that it was: “A day that you should all feel proud of, not only for helping, but for getting our service users to a place where they are able to go out and do things like this. So again thank you very much and well done!
