On Tuesday 3rd March, staff and service users at The Woodmill said a sad farewell to Barrie Oldham, Chief Executive Officer of The Disabilities Trust, who is retiring this month. Barrie was presented with a painting, created by service user Mark Jackson, and some tasty fare was enjoyed by all.

Barrie has played a key strategic role in the development of The Woodmill and his passion for providing support for people with an acquired brain injury (ABI) has led the way in providing the Trust’s rehabilitation service throughout the UK. Barrie was joined by Ann Buckler, Director of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT), and Irene Sobowale, who will be taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer of The Disabilities Trust. The Woodmill formally welcomes Irene and wishes Barrie a happy retirement.
