West Heath House, located in a residential suburb of Birmingham, offers a safe and comfortable temporary home for people with brain injuries. There are 24 bedrooms, with en suites and an internal pathway that supports service users in transitioning to one of the 4 independent flats. This pathway supports those who are being discharged back home or to supported accommodation. This offers more flexibility for promoting independence whilst still being overseen by the clinical team. It allows the more complex skills to be practised.

The people we support have access to spacious communal areas including a computer suite, games room and the refurbished physiotherapy room with exercise bikes, treadmills and other exercise equipment. Residents are given an individual log in to the wifi so they can use their smart phones and other devices safely and securely. The gardens designed to provide additional therapeutic value, offering the residents a lovely outdoor space to enjoy and watch the birds and wildlife.

Access to some of the vibrant history of Birmingham is on our doorstep. Locally there is shopping at Longbridge which is great for coffee shops and browsing. West Heath House is ideally situated for access to culture, green spaces and places of Worship. Close to train stations and motorway links for families to be able to visit.

Set in attractive grounds, West Heath House provides accommodation for 24 service users. Within the main centre there are two self-contained flats which allow service users to progress to a greater degree of independence whilst remaining within the building. In addition, there is a community house nearby where service users can consolidate their skills before moving on to a more independent environment.

Access to the wider community forms an important part of rehabilitation. With easy access to Birmingham city centre, with its vibrant heritage, entertainment venues, culture and beautiful public space, West Heath House is ideally situated for community integration. Opportunities for education, training and work placements are also available and accessible.
