Helen Stothard (Business Administrator) and Sarah Bartle (Nurse) at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT)'s York House Hospital recently took part in the Dalby Dash 10k. The course is a challenging 10k run with a steep 4k hill start followed by a beautiful trail run through Dalby Forest.
The event raised £3000 for Help for Heroes. Helen ran it as part of her 2016 sponsorship challenge. She’s trying to raise £16,000 for York House to purchase a specialist piece of equipment called a LiteGait which will help service users learn to walk again.
Helen has already taken part in three 10k events since August this year and is taking part in a Christmas Cracker 5k in December which will mean she’s completed more than marathon distance this year for York House. She’s already filling her calendar with running events next year to help raise more funds for York House.
