On Sunday 17th April, Giles Martin, who lives at Ernest Kleinwort Court in Burgess Hill, will be taking on the impressive challenge of the Brighton Marathon, in his wheelchair.

With the help of his support workers Michaela Sanford, Lee Gregory and Fundraising Officer Emma Millar, Giles hopes to raise £4000 for the #ConnectAbility Appeal. Giles has a passion for technology and uses it in his everyday life – this was his motivation to hopes to raise money for the appeal.

Giles said, “I decided to take part in the Brighton Marathon to raise money for ConnectAbility because I want other service users to be able to use technology the way I can.”

Last year Giles competed in the BM10k and was delighted to have completed it in 1 hour 23 minutes. He was especially grateful to Connor and Keri, his then support workers, for pushing his wheelchair the length of the race.
