Nick Thatcher, who has raised over £110,000 for our vital work at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT), has funded state of the art physiotherapy equipment at Daniel Yorath House in Leeds and a garden makeover at the newly developed Osman House in Scholes.
Nick recently opened a new clubhouse at Hepworth United FC as his son Huw was a former United FC player. Huw suffered a brain aneurysm during a game in March 2011 and sadly died at the age of 15.
After his death, Nick set up the Huw Thatcher Trust and he has worked tirelessly to raise funds to benefit others.
Sarah Clifford, Director of Communications and the Foundation says; "We at BIRT are very grateful to Nick, his family, friends and Huw's friends for raising so much money for us. The people we support continue to benefit for their generosity in memory of Huw. Thank you".
