Aditya is running the London Marathon on 22nd April in aid of The Disabilities Trust after seeing the transformative work we do throughout the UK.

Aditya had lived most of his life in India before relocating to the UK. Since living here, he has been amazed to discover the facilities and opportunities available to people with disabilities. Aditya has a close family member that has been a wheelchair user for over 20 years and witnessing his incomparable spirit and positive attitude has been an inspiration to him. Additionally, after his friends’ child was diagnosed with autism he was inspired by the courage and enthusiasm they faced the challenge with. These experiences have been his motivation to take on the 26-mile run for The Disabilities Trust, and Aditya has already smashed his pledged target of £1500 by reaching an incredible £3,582.84!

He said: “I run for The Disabilities Trust because everyone deserves a fair chance; they raise the profile of people with disabilities and provide them with the additional support they need. To see people with disabilities have the opportunity to live with dignity and be more self-reliant is amazing!
