What our volunteers say

‘I work with lots of inspiring clients who have sadly suffered a brain injury in my work as a solicitor outside of the charity. I have seen first-hand how rehabilitation has the ability to make a huge impact on someone’s life. It can help to stimulate the brain to learn new ways of working and can help to improve the long term effects of a brain injury such as cognitive, behavioural and physical changes which some people can sadly experience. This makes TEM’s work incredibly important - they have the ability to make an positive impact to the lives of so many of its service users and it is a real privilege to be able to work with them. I am looking forward to helping them carry on their fantastic work.’

'Personally, it was great to meet the guys whose rooms we were decorating and to see how happy they were. It’s not often you get such immediate feedback for your contribution. We’ve all been discussing how good it would be to return regularly to The Maples to do more.' - Graham, corporate volunteer

'I feel like we really made a difference to the garden and it looks so much bigger and lighter now. I’d like to see what it’ll look like in the summer once the plants have had a chance to settle.' - Corporate volunteer
