Eastfields, a service run by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) in Glasgow, has received favourable grades from their most recent inspection. In addition to the ‘Very Good’ for Quality of care and support, they were considered to be ‘Good’ in the Quality of staffing. The feelings of family members were a little mixed but service users were positive about their experiences of living at Eastfields, saying “The staff are the best” and “I’m happy at Eastfields. The staff are very good.”

Service Manager, Sandra Wylie, was pleased with the report. I am very proud that the inspectors said that we are achieving good outcomes. We encourage the people we support to push their boundaries with vocational courses and life-skills; being part of the community. We will work on the recommendation, as we always do, and continue to engage with family members to address any issues they may have.”
