Rose Media Group, a digital agency in Burgess Hill founded by Director Aneela Rose, recently got fed up with turkey for their corporate Christmas meal and tried something different, much to the delight of Ernest Kleinwort Court (EKC). Anneela takes up the story:
"Instead of a Christmas party or outing this year, we decided as a Group that we really wanted to take part in an activity which would have a direct and positive impact on others. After reading about the Disabilities Trust and getting in touch with the team there, we arranged to spend a morning at EKC in Burgess Hill, just five minutes from our office.
"We received a fantastic welcome from the team at EKC and we had a brilliant time painting walls, clearing the garden, doing Christmas crafts with the residents and even cleaning windows!
"Taking time out from our work and our office and spending a few hours focusing purely on helping others was really rewarding, and has inspired us all to think about volunteering regularly."
Nicola Carr-Pacquay, Activities Coordiantor for EKC thought the group from Rose Media were wonderful and had this to say: "Just wanted to let you know that we have had the best, most friendly, helpful volunteers ever this morning. They were so special and we would definitely like them again."
