Service users Sam, Russell, Dean and Daniel from Ernest Kleinwort Court (EKC) had reason to celebrate last month as they brought home the gold following their first wheelchair football tournament. The team were supported by Michaela, Assistant Manager at EKC, along with staff member Graham and volunteer Lee.
The matches took place on 6th July and were held at the University of Brighton’s sports ground. The team have been training weekly since last September and during the tournament played a total of eight 20 minute matches, of which they won seven and drew one.
Team member Sam said “This was the best day of my life” and Dan said “I am so proud of myself.”
Huge congratulations, whoops and cheers from us all!
