Service users from our physical disabilities service Shinewater Court in Eastbourne, took part in the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch. The birdwatch survey helps the RSPB build a picture of garden wildlife across the UK. The service users were really pleased to be a part of the survey.

"I am excited to join in with this national survey." Hannah remarked, "I have just treated myself to this new, super duper, bird feeder and I already see some birds. Especially the wood pigeons. I think the seagulls we have here might scare away the smaller birds though. Let's see now that there is all this food for them - the little birds will hopefully come.”

Susanne agreed: "I like seeing the birds in the garden and so far my cat, Tilly, doesn't seem bothered about catching them - thank goodness."

Andrew was pleased to take part and said: "I enjoy nature; seeing the birds and ducks in the garden."

John said: “I always leave food for the birds outside my room. They are glad of it in the winter.”
