Anthony moved to Victoria House in 2003. He had previously been living in a residential home for the elderly, which was not suitable for his age or needs.
Victoria House offered Anthony more independence and freedom. He enjoys his own company and has a computer in his room which he often uses.
I like living at Victoria House. I'm able to do what I want: go to the gym, watch films at the cinema and support the local rugby team. I have much more freedom and choice which is helping me with my independence
Whilst living at Victoria House, Anthony has gained a City & Guilds qualification in Horticulture. He also attended Hull College to complete a cookery course.
Next year he hopes to be able to work towards a higher qualification for cooking. Anthony enjoys the practical elements of cooking and often brings his culinary creations back to Victoria House.
