Welcome to Redford Court
Located in the vibrant city of Liverpool, Redford Court is an assessment and neurorehabilitation centre for up to 24 people with acquired brain injury.
Specialist rehabilitation is based on a neurobehavioural approach and focuses on enabling service users to function more independently, develop their lives as they choose and to participate in as many of their previous roles and activities as possible.
At The Disabilities Trust we aim to guide service users through the entire process of rehabilitation, as well as offering support, education and continuing help to their families, carers and friends.
We actively promote the involvement of families in the rehabilitation process, and home leave is encouraged wherever possible.

About Redford Court
Who we support
In addition to our general admission criteria many service users are admitted to our neurobehavioural centres directly from NHS hospitals and, after a period of rehabilitation, are discharged home or to more independent living environment, sometimes with part time support.
Our brain injury rehabilitation services are for people who experience some or any of the following symptoms as a result of their brain injury:
- Cognitive problems including thinking, memory, problem solving, learning, awareness and perception
- Physical impairments that affect mobility, posture or dexterity
- Physical and verbal aggression
- Communication difficulties
- Challenging behaviour
In 2019/2020, Redford Court admitted 28 individuals following an acquired brain injury (ABI), and 29 people were discharged.
- 69% of service users required only part-time or no supervision
- 81% were discharged to a more independent living setting
- 88% were discharged home or to a supported living setting
- 100% improved in at least one area of intervention*
*The areas of intervention are: level of supervision needed, moving to an independent living setting, engaging in employment/leisure activities, abilities, adjustment, and social participation.
Find out more about how our service users changed from admission to discharge in our Brain Injury Report 2019-2020.
