Thanks to National Lottery players, Tŷ Aberdafen Situated in Llanelli, has been granted funds from National Lottery Awards for All. This has enabled the service to purchase music therapy sessions for the men and women being supported.

Ty Aberdafen has 24 beds in the main centre and four fully furnished self-contained apartments. The Centre forms a part of the UK-wide network of services provided by national charity the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT). The BIRT Centre for Wales offers a range of high quality assessment and rehabilitation options for people with complex psychological and physical needs following an acquired brain injury (ABI).

Richard Bromley, Service Manager said: “These person centred and group sessions have brought smiles and laughter to all the staff and service users in the past. It is so nice to know that this will now continue for another year. Everyone is overjoyed at the news.

Many thanks from all at Ty Aberdafen”.
