The category entered, and awarded for, was ‘Use of Social Media for Business’. Jenny Sprackling (Digital Communications Manager) gave specific examples of where the Trust has done this through the #SeeMeNotDisability campaign, as well as the social media campaign that we ran alongside the Louis Theroux documentary, ‘A Different Brain’. A comment from the judges said that the team has ‘clearly demonstrated that [our] stakeholders were at the heart of all that we had done with these social media campaigns’.
Attending the event and proudly accepting this prestigious award were Jenny Sprackling, Charlie Price (Marketing Manager) and Daisy Hopson (Marketing Officer) who had worked on various parts of these campaigns, alongside other members of the Communications Team.
Charlie Price commented: “The award is a great honour and pays recognition to the team for all the planning and work that goes on behind the scenes, ensuring that our campaigns run consistently and smoothly. It also shows recognition of the Disabilities Trust’s digital media working well to support business objectives. It was a privilege to collect the award on behalf of the Trust.”
As gold winners, the Trust will now automatically be entered into the national award nominations.
