Community Service’s Myland House has been named as a benefactor of a local Easter raffle at a salon in Colchester.

Tina Barber from The Cutting Room hairdressers will give the community house a share of the money raised from the raffle.

Tina said "Having been in the hair salon for nearly 19 years now and as you've all supported us over the years I thought it would be nice to give something back to try and raise money to help towards anything we can for you all. I want to make the service users time in our salon a nice experience. I feel that people would want to help and I hold high respect for anyone with any disabilities, their families and also the guys supporting them to make them happy. That's why I wanted to just try and donate".

Lauren Sanders, registered manager said "It's wonderful to receive support from local businesses and we are grateful for the donation from Tina. It will be put to good use as part of our Garden Project at Myland House".

Kerry Ironmonger, a member of support team staff at Myland house said "Tina and the team are very thoughtful and welcoming when we go down there. They always accommodate us when we need to change or make appointments last minute. We all here would appreciate anything that they do for us".

Charlie Roberts, team leader added "It is so kind of Tina and the team to think of us when raising money. The donation will be much appreciated, thank you."
