The Disabilities Trust Annual Review brings you up to date with the many achievements of the people we support including Giles, who features on the cover of the Review. Accompanied by his Support Workers, Giles completed the BM10K (part of the Brighton Marathon) and raised nearly £1,000 for our ConnectAbility appeal.

We are now into the second year of this three year appeal, which is funding life changing communications technology such as tablet computers, eye trackers and touch screen laptops which will enhance the independence of people with complex physical disabilities. We have been delighted with the response from celebrities as well as local communities around our five residential centres and we have successfully attracted grants from major trusts and the Big Lottery.

Our aim now is to make the technology available to disabled people living near our centres by creating ‘Hubs’ where they can trial equipment that they would not otherwise be able to access.

We have already raised over £100,000 towards our £250,000 target and would like to be able to equal this in year two, so if you would like to help us change lives please go to
