The Trust’s Community Services division are delighted to announce a new supported living house in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria has been officially opened.
John Woodcock MP, who represents the constituency of Barrow and Furness, attended and opened the house on 4th March 2016.
Mr Woodcock said: “A specialist support unit for brain injury patients in our area has been long overdue, but things are really buzzing at the centre and it was an honor to have been invited to perform the opening ceremony.
“I had a pretty bad head injury four years ago when I fell from a ladder at home. Over time I have recovered, but I was very lucky. It could have been a lot worse and that experience has given me a glimpse of what brain injury victims and their carers have to face”.
